Presenting ... "Lullabies for Strange Children (waag_rel044)" by Kevin Lyons

I do what I do to encourage others bring their beauty into this world. Witnessing Kevin Lyons' growth as an artist and a maker of beautiful music has been a real pleasure for me. I really do marvel at the music he creates - it holds it's own within weareallghosts and further afield - it never ceases to amaze me. I am very proud of the music he has released on waag and am proud to call him a friend.

It is with this sense of pride that I present his fourth album - "Lullabies for Strange Children" - for your listening pleasure. It is an album bursting with new ideas and fresh expression ... an album that features the kind of engaging sound-pictures in each of its twelve tracks that I simply cannot get enough of. It shifts from dark, eerie ambience to moments of futuristic expressionism with ease ... filling my ears with that most wonderfully oxymoronic of all musical joys ... familiar yet utterly new soundscapes.

I really do hope you will enjoy this album as much as I have.

An MP3 version of this album is available for free on Archive or a lossless version available on Bandcamp for 'pay what you want' which does include £0 ... and remember, paying supporters on Bandcamp also get unlimited mobile access to the album using the free Bandcamp listening app.

If you do decide to download this album for free then all we ask in return is that you tell your friends, tweet a link or post it on Facebook, write a review and spread the word.

Presenting ... "Abstraction (waag_rel043)" by Scott Lawlor & Earlyguard

I am proud to present "Abstraction (waag_rel043)" ... 45 minutes of longform ambient joy.

I have a lot of love for the music of both Scott Lawlor and Earlyguard, so you can imagine I was very quick to respond in the positive when I was approached about releasing a collaboration that they had in the works ... I didn't think it would be as good as "Abstraction" is.

This is music for both the head and the heart, a late-night hit of somatic bliss that, in equal measure, inspires and comforts.

I hope you will enjoy this piece as much as I have.

Presenting ... "Space Time Mantra (waag_rel042)" by Ade Hodges & Cousin Silas

"Space Time Mantra (waag_rel042)" is a wonderful series of darker ambient soundscapes from Ade Hodges and Cousin Silas ... a collaborative collection of sci-fi music that could easily act as the soundtrack to our favourite stories by the likes of Lovecraft and Ballard.

Both expansive & dystopian, these sounds present the future of our dreams as being more akin to the stuff of our nightmares ... they give the listener an all too brief insight into the eerie unsettling liminal state just beyond our reckoning, just beyond our remembering, where we span two worlds and stare into the deepest recesses of the unknown.

I found them utterly fascinating and could not wait to share them with you. I am delighted with progress being made by Ade Hodges ... he really is coming into his own ... and similarly delighted with apparent boundless imagination of Cousin Silas. This is a release I am proud to add to the waag canon.

Presenting ... "Dronescape 015 (waag_drs015)" by Cousin Silas

Cousin Silas' Dronescapes bring me considerable solace and the fifteenth instalment could not have come at a more necessary time.

As some of you may know, I have contracted pertussis (whooping cough) and have been 'house bound' since before Christmas. During this time I have come to appreciate the healing qualities of music: it relaxes ... it aids focus and recuperation ... and, more importantly, it inspires.

Dronescape 015 has been a blessing to me ... aiding my painfully slow recovery ... and helping me to rest. My sincere thanks to Cousin Silas for the care he has poured into this dronescape ... it is appreciated, especially at this time.

An MP3 version of this album is available for free on Archive or a lossless version available here for 'pay what you want' which does include £0.

We are currently exploring options for a physical Cousin Silas release. Any funds raised by 015 will go towards this.

If you do decide to download this album for free then all we ask in return is that you tell your friends, tweet a link or post it on Facebook, write a review and spread the word.

We will post more information regarding the physical release in due course but for now ... enjoy 015.

Oh and about the cover ... as I can't get out, I can only take photos from inside my house. We have a bird-feeder next to my livingroom window and it is frequented by some lovely little visitors ... this was one of them.

Presenting... "Translucence (waag_rrl002)" by Christopher Alvarado

"Translucence (waag_rrl002)" is only our second rereleased album on weareallghosts ... rereleased because it is simply that good.

Christopher Alvarado is a talented musician who has a vision for ambient music that I share and deeply admire ... he creates truly immersive soundscapes with synths and guitars, vocals and percussion, that have an otherworldliness about them that is simply intoxicating.

Alvarado's hypnotic headphone music is an utter treat, one that I have partaken of in recent days and one that I welcome to weareallghosts.

I hope you will enjoy this rerelease as much as I do? I look forward to hearing more from Alvarado.

An MP3 version of this album is available for free on Archive or a lossless version available on Bandcamp for 'pay what you want' which does include £0 ... and remember, paying supporters on Bandcamp also get unlimited mobile access to the album using the free Bandcamp listening app. Any profits from monies raised will go directly to the artist.

Presenting ... "LV426 (waag_rel041)" by Ivan Ganza

According to Ivan Ganza, "LV426 (waag_rel041)" documents the lonely journey to the far off system of LV426 through six utterly delightful longish-form ambient drones.

I've had this album for a wee while now ... to be honest, longer than I should have ... this should have been out for others to hear far, far sooner.

"LV426 (waag_rel041)" is an absolute delight to me, one for the head as well as the heart. The kind of hypnotic sci-fi drone that I lap up, one that works on its own or as an accompaniment to the kind of pulp sci-fi novels that Cousin Silas or Kevin Lyons rave on about. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have.

Ivan Ganza is a new name to weareallghosts. I heartily welcome him to our wee label and our community. I look forward to hearing more from him.

I am grateful to Ade Hodges for the cover artwork and look forward to more from him too.

"The Gallery of Time (waag_sng006)" by Christopher Alvarado & Stephen Briggs

I totally missed this track. It was intended for our recent end-of-year compilation and it got bogged down in my inbox.

I am so sorry to Christopher Alvarado and Stephen Briggs for my oversight ... and to make it up to them I've decided to release it as a free single.

That said, I am also releasing it because it is a superb piece of music ... a track where two distinct musicians have come together to make something new and unique ... a synergy, so to speak, and a fabulous one at that.

This is the kind of ambient music that weareallghosts was brought into being to support ... and I am proud to do so ... albeit 16 days later than I should have.

Enjoy.

Tx
