Presenting ... Cones (waag_C60_01) by Colin Blake

When Colin Blake approached me with his idea for his C60 project I was intrigued. He was eager to create 30 minute slices of his particular blend of sci-fi ambient, slices that could easily fit on the side of a C60 cassette tape. When I heard the first cuts I was sold on the idea.

These cuts became what you are now listening to: Side A and Side B of "Cones (waag_C60_01)". Think of these tracks in the same terms as you would a mixtape ... they are 30 minutes of continual, unbroken Berlin School- inspired 'out-thereness' from Blake.

I really hope you like "Cones (waag_C60_01)" as much as I do. I look forward to more from Blake's C60 series on weareallghosts.

An MP3 version of this album is available for free on Archive or a lossless version available on Bandcamp for 'pay what you want' which does include £0 ... and remember, paying supporters on Bandcamp also get unlimited mobile access to the album using the free Bandcamp listening app.

If you do decide to download this album for free then all we ask in return is that you tell your friends, tweet a link or post it on Facebook, write a review and spread the word.

Presenting ... "Philharmony (waag_rel053)" by Simon Slator

It is my absolute pleasure to welcome Simon Slator to the weareallghosts fold, who joins us with a belter of a longform ambient release entitled "Philharmony (waag_rel053)".

"Philharmony" is a derived word that originates from the adjective "Philmarmonic" which means to be fond of or devoted to music ... and is an apt descriptor for weareallghosts, for Simon and for me ... we love music and share an ongoing, active love for music in all its forms albeit with a particular fondness for ambient expressions.

And as an ambient expression, "Philharmony (waag_rel053)" is a love-letter to the longform ... it is an open piece that ebbs and flows in the most delightful, languid manner. Never overwrought, it has a lightness-of-being that inspires and encourages focus.

All in, it is a belter and is most welcome on weareallghosts. I really hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

An MP3 version of this album is available for free on Archive or a lossless version available on Bandcamp for 'pay what you want' which does include £0 ... and remember, paying supporters on Bandcamp also get unlimited mobile access to the album using the free Bandcamp listening app.

Presenting ... "Dronescape 019 (waag_drs019)" by Cousin Silas

Cousin Silas and I connected many years ago when I said some nice things about his work on Shaun Blezard's seminal 'Earth Monkey Productions' netlabel. Silas had released 'Geographics' and his first two Ballard Landscapes on EMP and I had picked them up. They were my kind of atmospheres: dark, eerie & powerfully emotive ... they conjured up desolate spaces and lands dotted with Cyclopean buildings before I had read Lovecraft and knew what a Cyclopean architecture was.
"Great watery spaces opened out before me, and I seemed to wander through titanic sunken porticos and labyrinths of weedy Cyclopean walls with grotesque fishes as my companions."
'Shadow out of Innsmouth' by HP Lovecraft
Cousin Silas' music has moved on from these initial recordings. It is broader and less niched to one particular genre. This is his skill and I am glad, in some small part, that weareallghosts has provided him with a platform in which to experiment with his sound and evolve musically.

Dronescape 019 (waag_drs019) is a return to the Ballardian days. It is rather dark and eerie, with a sense of curious investigation rather than foreboding. There are a few surprises on the journey but then all journeys have their own, unique events.

I hope you will enjoy this dronescape as much as I do.

An MP3 version of this album is available for free on Archive or a lossless version available on Bandcamp for 'pay what you want' which does include £0.

We are finalising the physical Cousin Silas release - "The Sound Of Silas". I've tried not to let progress slow as a result of my ongoing illness but have had to be realistic. We have a track list and the chosen tracks are off to be mastered. We also have chosen the cover art and the person who will make the limited edition double CD pack. We are getting there and all will be revealed in due course ... but, for now, any funds raised by 019 will go towards this and possibly some extras.

If you do decide to download this album for free then all we ask in return is that you tell your friends, tweet a link or post it on Facebook, write a review and spread the word.

We will post more information regarding the physical release in due course but for now ... enjoy 019.
