Presenting ... In the Green Light (waag_rel056) by Ade Hodges & Cousin Silas

In the Green Light (waag_rel056) by Ade Hodges & Cousin Silas is the next instalment in an ongoing series of collaborations between the two artists. It features six earthy, nearly impenetrable walls-of-sound that are not for the claustrophobic.

In the Green Light (waag_rel056) is an immense album of truly immersive beauty, one that is as spatial as it is aural. There is both a breadth and a density within these tracks that takes the listener's breath away, it is as if Hodges and Silas have recorded the essence of wonder from the natural world and are replaying it for your listening pleasure.

And a pleasure it is. This is music to get lost within, music for escape, and I for one absolutely love it.

I welcome this collaboration and look forward to more from the pairing of Ade Hodges & Cousin Silas. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.

An MP3 version of this album is available for free on Archive or a lossless version available on Bandcamp for 'pay what you want' which does include £0.

If you do decide to download this album for free then all we ask in return is that you tell your friends, tweet a link or post it on Facebook, write a review and spread the word.

Presenting ... 'Into The Dark | volume iii (waag_rel055)' by Cousin Silas

"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."
HPLovecraft - The Call of Cthulu

'Into The Dark | volume iii (waag_rel055)' - the third and final instalment in a trilogy of dark, atmospheric, and decidedly sinister sounding ambient albums from my dear friend, Cousin Silas - is the ideal musical accompaniment to the terrifying vistas of reality that Lovecraft so eloquently described nearly 100 years ago.

'Into The Dark | volume iii (waag_rel055)' is in keeping with its predecessors - the first (waag_rel038) and second volumes (waag_rel045) - this is an album where Cousin Silas continues to explore his darker ambient roots ... an album where he keeps the momentum going, keeps the listener dreaming those deliciously dark dreams.

I hope you enjoy this album as much as I do ... and don't go mad from the revelation contain therein. Please add the albums into a playlist so they can be consumed in one sitting.

An MP3 version of this album is available for free on Archive or a lossless version available here for 'pay what you want' which does include £0.

We are currently finalising the physical Cousin Silas release - "The Sound Of Silas". The tracks have been mastered and the cover art finalised ... all will be revealed by the end of August but, for now, any funds raised by 'Into The Dark | volume iii (waag_rel055)' will go towards this.

If you do decide to download this album for free then all we ask in return is that you tell your friends, tweet a link or post it on Facebook, write a review and spread the word.

We will post more information regarding the physical release in due course but for now ... dream big and enjoy 'Into The Dark | volume iii (waag_rel055)'.

Presenting ... ScannerWorks (waag_rel054) by Cousin Silas & Kevin Lyons

A collaboration between two of my favourite musicians on weareallghosts - Cousin Silas & Kevin Lyons - is an exciting prospect, one that I am glad to say did not disappoint me. I love their individual sounds and really love their combined effort on "ScannerWorks (waag_rel054)".

"ScannerWorks (waag_rel054)" is the first of hopefully many collaborations between Silas and Lyons ... they have distilled their shared passion for ambient and progressive music, 70s British horror films, and pulp sci-fi novels into 13 distinctive and very 'out there' atmospheric soundscapes.

"ScannerWorks (waag_rel054)" is food for the imagination, sound cues for the theatre of the mind. I can think of no greater recommendation than to listen to this album with a good set of headphones and let your mind wander. Give yourself permission to dream.

An MP3 version of this album is available for free on Archive or a lossless version available on Bandcamp for 'pay what you want' which does include £0.
