Presenting ... Air Flows Like Water (waag_rel146) by William Spivey

I am a huge fan of William Spivey's music and when he came to me with this release I was like "YES!!! Now what was it that you wanted to ask?"

I was eager to hear where his music had evolved from our latest outing, "Glimpse (waag_rel051)", back in May, 2014; and I wasn't disappointed: "Air Flows Like Water (waag_rel146)" is a wonderfully meditative album that flows gently along with found sounds and bird song, ambient drones and vibrant synths, verbal prompts, bells and chimes, and throat-singing all in the mix.

What began as field recordings has morphed into the most wonderful set of soundscapes that are perfect for the time we are in ... intentionally unhurried, these pieces resonate with something deep inside and provide calming respite from the anxiety of now.

I have benefitted from this album and I thank William for sending it on. I also extend my thanks to William's son, Paki, for the artwork he made for the album.

A 320kbps version of this release will be available, for free, over on Archive with a lossless version available here on Bandcamp for ‘pay what you want’.
